“I had a farm in Africa, at the foot of the Ngong Mountains”. This is how the first chapter of Karen Blixen’s book and the film of the same name “Out of Africa” begins.
We have a farm in Portugal, at the foot of the Tagus River, and our first chapter has just begun in September 2020.
Only a 40 minutes’ drive from Lisbon, we, a family from Munich, have found this wonderful new home for us and our horses. Here we can offer them everything they need for species-appropriate husbandry and rearing.
The noble Lusitano horse breed is known and appreciated worldwide for its grace, powerful stature and supple movements. Due to their human-centered nature, they are perfect partners for their riders, which we can enjoy every day when handling them.
We breed Lusitanos out of passion and with the aim of creating the basis for: A horse with the best conformation and interior, the best prerequisites of genetics and a healthy soul in a healthy body.

The wonderful horses of the stud in this beautiful nature gives me extra motivation to develop and grow the stud. I grew up with horses around and have had a fascination for equine shoeing for as long as I can remember. I’ve been a farrier at this stud since 2023. I check each horse’s hooves and treat them according to their needs.
I also work as a horse groomer and maintain the stud farm.
I feel at ease here, the horses are well looked after by the whole team.

Ever since I was a child, I’ve grown up around horses, grooming them and working with them, so I’ve had a special love for equitation.
As well as grooming and helping with the general upkeep of the farm, I ride and work with the young horses.
Working here makes me feel fulfilled.
